A date with my younger self

Today I went on a date with my younger self she was right on time I was a little late as I underestimated time to get there. I apologised and explained my driver took his time. I suppose he needed someone to vent too about his situation. I was happy to have been able to lend listening ear,she  smiled and said I’m glad you still have not changed being kind to people is a good thing.She asked A spa date that is different. I told her I’m learning to Pour into my Cup so I can pour into others with good intentions. She looked at me as if to say pick me l have a burning question are you married she asked looking at my fingers I smiled and responded. No I’m not l responded with a smile.

So why are you smile so why are you smiling looking at me puzzled

I’m happy and at peace I stopped chasing the truck that was marriage a long time ago..l replied.I know when the time is right, God will make it happen .

So what is this glow that I see she asked ?.

Girl slow down today is about you and me and how far we have come.To answer your question all l can say is its the blood of Jesus and inner peace .

Girl girrrrl you can’t tell me there is no one (side eyeing me I suppose I have always had the side. I think I’ve got it from my mum )Well let’s just say I’m very happy where I am🥰

Ok so howz career going did you get degree ,are you working for Uni-liver managing one of the portfolios.

Well yes l did complete my degree,however l do not work for uniliver girl they moved from Zimbabwe before my career kicked off .I have worked for same organisation for past 12 years challenges but still standing.

Ok l see,how are the girls?

You mean my sisters well circle has expanded but last year we lost one of us n that one has been a struggle to process but we take one day at a time .We now have boys too that have joined the crew, very protective of us.

Faith

Well l still go to same church,we moved to our own church building isnt that amazing.See me standing its been God he carries me when l cannot stand they have been few of those moments.

And friends?

Oh girl ,l have met so many people along the way some we went different paths because life took us different directions some still around still cultivating and watering that friendship l can say they have evolved nicely.

I am really happy you are doing well,seems like though you encounter challenges you truckle them herd on .l am proud of the woman you are and becoming. Love you 😍
