Friendships from Lebo S View

Recently a wise sister of mine wrote about friendships and likening them to a Tree with roots, branches and leaves. I can safely say I've had my fair share of leaf like friendships in my life. We all know the type of friends that becomes so much of the advisors when you're down and out completely vanish during our successes, the type of friends I'd describe as the weird ones. With the type of sentimental heart that I've always been told I have, I’m beginning to master how not to invest too much in such friendships.

 I asked myself how one identifies the roots and branches. That’s where the confusion is .The branch might look strong like it won't ever be cut off from the tree but alas there is a time where it withers and falls off. What I'm simply trying to say is there will be friends that come into your life to help strengthen your journey but when the time comes for the friendship to end, you have to accept it because that's just how it's meant to be and let's just face it,(forced things don't really work out and I think most of you can relate kkkkkk uKhanyisa Jaceni would say take your L ,decorate it and move on lol)but in this case it's not really a Loss it's experience gained.

 The roots are crucial as they symbolize spiritual connections. So if you've known a person for the longest time and you feel in your gut that this friendship is good and will go on a long way, Pray mntasekhaya and place the friendship in God's hands because believe you me, it will be attacked and sometimes you'll get caught in between asking yourself if it's a branch or a root. I admire how men maintain strong bonds with their bro code .even when ours is as loud, that’s the reason why most lady friendships end. Let’s adopt a girl code of supporting and uplifting one another understanding that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in the eyes of God (the most important factor of our lives), we can like each other beyond our imperfections as ladies. We can be there for each other like men do for themselves (as a gender l want us to win).

 Truth is being a lady comes with a whole lot of challenges and friendships are there to make this life journey a bit smoother especially with likeminded people hence why they are a NECESSITY!♡ As young lady there is still so much l have to learn and unlearn about healthy friendships
