Happy new Year, everyone!
l know m three weeks late but m sending love and compliments to lovers and friends and everything in between.
As we begin 2025 l have been thinking about New Year resolutions. Do you guys still believe in New Year’s resolutions (asking for some friends) personally l stopped doing that a long time ago maybe it’s an age thing
Speaking of age l have grown to love Sundays for few reasons. My day normally begins with me going to church and on rare occasions l do something drastic of thinking l am super woman who can do wash day on Sunday(l know it’s crazy). Then afternoons are for cooking and l channel my inner Gordon Ramsey (without the curse words).
Last Sunday l began my day at 5am to be fair that is my usual wake up time .L stated my day with bang and decided to wash my hair on Sunday morning. So previous day l had the benny and petty on my head (amabhanzi), which l firstly had to undo and detangle my hair.
Caution: Natural hair will test your life like a new born baby that is crying nonstop (do not try it at home l repeat do not try this at home).
Now where we, then l were sectioned my hair so it’s easy to wash (my hair is currently at that awkwardish phase mid length and honestly sometimes l miss my relaxed hair but here we are committed to this relationship). The worrier in me said you can do this girl lets go. Hair was washed and l was killing it and somewhere in my brain l thought let me add a facial (but alas time waits for no body).By the time l was done it was 8 and yes service starts at 8am.
All was well until l got the most chatty driver (do not get me wrong he was very nice) but what was supposed to be a 15minutes drive almost took 30 minutes. When l looked at his speedometer he was moving at 50km at best and apparently l have been told l drive slow but not even l am that slow (crazy me wanted to say can l drive and you keep me entertained) .But well it was a Sunday and we (me myself and l) are trying to be better people in 2025.
Church was good and the lord is good (all the time) but never again am l thinking m super woman on Sunday morning it was giving team too much. Hope you guys are having good year and cultivating healthy habits.
